Title: Nissan Almera n16 2005 Idle Relearn
Post by: leonard085 on November 04, 2014,12:36:34
After doing a throttle body cleaning, The idle speed varied between 1500 to 2000 rpm
I have a scan tool ( Autel MaxiDas ds708) I went to the relearn procedures, but the scan tool refused
to start the procedure, I got an error saying it cant complete the procedure unless the rpm
 was below 1300 rpm
I tried a few different techinques but they did not work out
what I did in the end was, I started the car, then I put it into gear
I pulled up the hand braked as far as I could, I then let my foot off the clutch slowly, watching the rpm, the minute it went below 1300 rpm, I pressed start on my scan tool, this brought the rpm to about 1200 rpm, still to high
but it was below 1300 rpm now, I was now able to do the idle relearn procedures
I have also attached the manual method, It will work for most idle relearns on Nissan (as long as the idle is not too high)
