Title: Electric Co TV28 (chassis 11AK37)
Post by: caso on February 02, 2015,10:04:45
Good afternoon to the forum.

The image is always in 16: 9 (black space in superior and bottom of the screen). In the right side of the  picture it is bent and stretched (E / W).
In the service menu, geometry, does not appear the possibility to change the format function.
If I remove the EPROM (IC500 - 24C08) the TV turns on and stays with image under the same conditions as if it had the EPROM mounted on the chassis.
If I memorize one TV chanel, after switch off the TV, when switch on again, the memory was gone. It seems that the microprocessor dont connected with the EPROM.
With these tips, any colleague could give a tip to repair the TV?
Thank you for your attention.

Hello,
We had problems with the memory IC, and the processor in this model.
If changing the 24C08 doesn't help, probably the uPC IC is faulty.
The E-W fault could be a short D606, E-W diode, also C622 across this
diode could be faulty (were common faults).
Hope this helps,
Regards

Goog afternoon Watteau:
I replaced the C622 and D606 and the problem still the same.

I canĀ“t found the uPC (too old). probably the problem is the uPC!!!

Thanks for your answer.

Best regards
