Title: Panasonic DMR-EZ48V - No Go.
Post by: Turnip on June 16, 2015,12:18:13
Hi folks,

Had one in today, and as there's nothing yet in Quuq files -

C11711(47/10) C11377(470/16) C11370(100/25) C11708(680/10) in Buck supply area under DVD mech.

Also C11170(68/35) in the P/S area.

Obvious maybe, as all were a bit bulgy - Recall there was an error code, but can't quite remember what is was - Old age, perhaps.

The caps did the job - Chris.

Hi Chris,

You should be moved up to the status of "Legend"!

Just as a matter of interest, what are turnips used for.....surely they are fairly inedible things....bio-fuel maybe.

Bruce.

Hi Bruce,

Suspect there isn't such a status, but guess could be created for old farts like me if you can get the ear of any Quuq 'Blue Super Hero' - Admittedly, they always seem pretty busy doing Super Hero stuff - flying here and there, saving civilizations and the like.

As to Turnips, well they're roundish and almost edible - Growing some this year but have yet had no takers, just disdain generally, even from the Ex Wife who happily took Swedes and a few select F1 Tomatoes grown to her specifications.

Turnips are mostly discovered in 'Stew Packs' with other root vegetables, and when boiled for some considerable while, are consumed with 'Dumptons' - Don't ask - A Norfolk specialty - Chris.

Just a thought - You might suggest a 'Horticulture' page, as veggies are far more interesting than electronics, and you can mostly eat 'em, if sufficiently hungry.

Dumptons eh!  Spellcheck doesn't recognize the word. Not a play on words, is it? You dump tons of turnips cos nobody likes them, or they cause you to dump tons if you eat them.

yours frivolously Bruce.

Hi Bruce,

Us East Anglians had a famous 'Singing Postman' (Allan Smethurst) who famously called them 'Domplings' in local East Coast dielect (Dumptons are 'Norwich' and to the West of the county) Others out of the area call them Dumplings - sort of Flour and grease, ball shaped, that expand to considerable proportions if boiled with root veggies.

Sadly our Allan fell off the stage in the 60's mid performance due to the effects of too much Turnip wine, and never managed to climb back on the trolly. He is celebrated in 'East Anglian Film Archive' where he entertains from his bedroom with assistance of his guitar and a reel-to-reel recorder. Also You Tube features his one hit romantic song  'Hev you gota loight bor' concerning a smoking gal-friend with no matches but a compulsion.

Sadly fame did for him and his Turnip 'Domplings' - Unfortunate but true, so have never yet tried brew Turnips for the evening glass - Whimsically - Chris.

Surprisingly, Allan turned up on BBC R4 Extra yesterday with a half hour devoted to his formative effects in Folk Music, knew Dylan got it all from somewhere.
