Hi Al,

I've just uploaded a file to the Downloads section titled LG OLED TESTING. There is no backlighting in OLEDs and the display basically operates solely off 24V
fed to the panel driver board (aka T-Con) from the power supply. These are notorious for display failures which cut off the 24V supply as protection. Good luck.

Hi Shaun the sheep, I hear you guys are roasting over there - time to move to Oz -although the same will happen to us soon, no doubt.
Error code 6 is backlights in LED Sonys. Time to strip the display panel. Far as I know, there's no bypass.                                             Bruce

Hi Teckman, if you're still checking this post. These do suffer from display panel failures. If you disconnect the wide top flexi cable from the main board and turn the TV on, I believe the connected 1/2 of the display will still give a picture. If it gives a clear picture, you likely have a faulty display panel. You can't do the same with the second flexi because the TV won't work with it out.
Did a smaller  MU6100 taday and I was able to repair it with the "tape cut-off" method. There are a few videos on you tube describing this.

Hello friends,

I have a 65 inch Samsung TV here with a problem. The screen no longer has a "normal" image, but random color everywhere. Sound can be heard from the television from a program that is playing.

The TV backlights are all fine and working great so I don't know where else the problem could be.

Would anyone happen to know what the problem would be and what part would need to be replaced?

Thank you in advance for your effort and cooperation!
