'Red' Dab Radio - Suspect audio chip.
« on: April 07, 2016,13:41:01 »
Hi folks,

Don't tend to waste much time on supermarket radios, but this one has everything but sound.

After trying headphones, took it apart to find audio chip SCM4872/Y68 had a bubble in the top.

Tried discover what is was, but nothing on line apart from LM4871/LM4890 possibilities, all with the

same 6 SMD pins - Any thoughts ? - Thanks - Chris.

Later - LM4871 did the job, LM4872 had bumpy bits instead of pins.
