HUMAX HDR1000s/500GB

Hi Guys ,have got the box and it comes on for 10 mins then freezes . Leave it off for 30mins turn on then it comes on for 10 mins again . Have tried factory default and clearing hard drive and memory but still does the same . At the moment it just comes on saying "freetime and stays like that.  There is an update from Humax but it says you must put it to the root folder of the USB so I can get it on a zipped folder but cant get it to open . Dont know if anyone has any ideas ,thanks

Hi Kenny,

The zipped file has to be opened (unzipped) before it goes onto the usb stick.

Are you saying you can't open it at this stage, or is the PVR not recognising it?

With the Humax, you need to go to go to "general settings" in the menu and select "software".

Obviously this is not possible and I can't advise you how to do a forced upgrade.

Hi Bruce ,thanks for the info . I got onto Humax who told me the software was the latest there was . He just asked what the date was of the last update . He basically said it was a fault on the main board so buy another one . Box less than a year old and customer lost receipt but says she bought it on line . Am still working on opening a zipped file and putting it on a USB not so much for the Humax box but for the updates to the Vestel boards,   thanks for your help anyway
