Sony XDR-P1DBP - Broken power switch knob.

Hi folks,

Got one in with the top mounted slide switch knob broken.

Checked about where seems issue is common, but Sony don't care to supply a new knob, though it's a fairly current model still sold on Amazon. There are Sony spares suppliers, but it's not listed for some reason.

Guess bin it and buy another, though perhaps not a Sony.

Wonder if anyone has successfully mended one - Chris.

Having the feeling that the radio was otherwise duff,

Modified the control knob where now seems does the biz, but unsure quite how long.

Can't go into it, as need to have one to get the idea - It's all needle files and knob slicing to get the shift right - Chris.
