JVC LT48C570 dead but power OK -
« on: November 07, 2020,09:20:53 »
When switched on the standby led comes on for2 or 3 seconds and then goes out - all supplies are up and running. Backlight LED test OK on both sections.

I suspect it may be a firmware issue.... it could also be a fault on main board - can anyone throw some light? Thanks.

Hi Dave, Could well be a firmware issue. There are several brands that use the same firmware (apart from the logo), and they all seem to suffer the same issue. Have to see if you can track down an upgrade.

Thanks Bruce, I was thinking firmware issue.... they sure don't make em' like they used to do, think their idea is if it 'conks' out you 'clod it or'e next door' and go buy a new one, far too many made under license these day's whose name on the telly isn't recognised..... "not one of our telly's guv, sorry can't help ya".

Not so bothered about the logo as long as telly works, no naughty names though....!

Had another one..... exactly the  same, LED flashes about every two minutes with a clicking sound from the speakers.

No one seems to wanna be owning these sets not even JVC, from what I was told there are only Curry's and PC world TV's.

Still trying to get a JVC LT48-C570 flash dump for this Curry's/PC world LED telly. The main board is a T.MS3463S.711 with a LSC480 HN08-8 screen.

Anyone know of a similar flash that may help?

Thanks, Dave.

A new board cured the problem, I suspect firmware problem - Badged TV's should be banned, JVC, "Not one of our telly's", they replied.
