ATEC AV370w PSU Problem
« on: January 02, 2010,18:43:57 »
Hi,
i used google and found that several persons have the same problem with the power supply.
Plz see post http://www.tv.quuq.org/forum/index.php?topic=2061.0 for pictures

Did anybody find a solution to repair it?

(i've tried  to mail to artec and to the manufacture of the PSU ipt.co.kr)

The problems started with:
starting from standby did not work and a full power off helped
Now there is no standby LED and i've seen that Q101 is perhaps a little bit burned

If Q101 is very hot D601is probably short or as in the ones that i have come across, leaky.
Q101 provides a stable supply for IC601,12v i think. D601 seems to be a overvoltage protection zenner diode.I use 13v zenner. Unsolder it and measure for reverse leakage,or just change it.If you are unlucky
IC601 may be faulty and it does not seem to be available. The initial cause of problem is electolytic caps in the area of IC101, C103, C104 ect. Replace them all before switching on. Most of them are 33uf.

Phil, you mentioned "if the IC601 is faulty, and it does not seem to be available?"

Do you mean the IC is difficult to locate/buy?

Is there any way of locating / buying the IC?

Who is the manufacturer of the IC? maybe they may have some stock still?

In relation to PSU is IPLV-42 (rev. 1.4), is there a manual / schematic available?

Is there anymore hints you can provide how to fix the PSU?

Do you do repairs?

Look forward to your response.

Hi dariusz.I did exstensive searches on the net last year for the service manual and ic with no results.
I have had several lcd`s using this power supply in for repair,on all of them the faulty components have been the electrolytics i have listed and the zenner diode d601.All the electolytics on these power supplies are suspect and should be checked whith a esr/capacitance meter.
