Goodmans LD3266D lcd TV

Hi Group,
Sound with no picture.
The back lights come on for a few seconds and then go out.
I have checked the back lights and replaced the inverter
(4H.V0708.411/B), but still have the same fault.I have 23v on all 3 inverter fuses.
Has anyone any sugestions.

Might be a duff ccfl tube causing the driver IC to go into protection when it doesnt strike up.

I have tryed the ccfl tubes by substution but no change.
It is not a Vestel, I have taken some pics.

hi .
i hade the same tv in another brand INFINITY 32'' same problem as you discribe above.after changing inverter+p.s no luck  i notice that 24v in inverter is ok even screen is off  and pin inverer on is changing to off.
replace main board tv is ok.

Put the tv on whern you get sound put a bright light behind panel where backlight enters and see if you could see the faint picture, if yes then lcd pannel is not faulty.backlight itself functioning or not? if it doesn't after replacing inverter then look for memory ic. this problem is mostely bacause of memory ic

Hi Guys
As the 24volt line to the inverter board is probably switched off in standby, it might be possible to arrange a 'modification' to put 3volts or so onto the 'enable' line of the inverter board and keep it enabled. Only drawback is figuring out which connection it is on the inverter plug n socket so you can break the feed and apply the 3volts. Have found that schematics for a lot of ccfl drive chips are available on the internet so it might be worth investigation.

Hi Group,
I have tried a strong light behind panel and still have no display.
The enable line to the inverter measures 4v when the ccfl strike and remains there after they go out.
I think it must have a faulty screen, but I can not be sure.
