hi all
most of us will be familiar with the inverter mod on the lc420wu5 for the 42pfl7662,which consists of 4 x fets, bd9897fs and a zener diode, having fitted many of these several have failed again after between 1 to 6 months!! there is now a second mod, part number 996500095005 (thanks to floapa311 who posted this several months ago but I must have missed it) so don’t bother with the first mod the zener diode protects nothing!! fit a new chip, check the fets are ok (which they usually are)then do the mod, it works out cheaper as well.
only time will tell if this mod actually works, have found to my cost the first one doesn’t so don’t bother.
