Hi Folks,

Have one of these where cust said it would occasionally come on if they wiggled the mains plug. Went straight to back files where there was talk of touch sensitive non-contact switches being a problem.

Pulled the control panel plug to discover the set seems OK with RCU apart from no DVB and that volume adjustments are "not available"

Re-plugged control board - just the same.

Have that "Samsung Eeprom feeling" - is there any history ? (Main BN41-01258B) - Chris.

Had this feeling it was duff PS caps that caused the prob in earlier models, found none bulgy on this one - will try reset as you suggest and also attach a piccy of PS/Inverter for those who like 'em - Chris.

Hi Sparky,

Eventually got the original RCU and discovered volume wouldn't work as 'external' was selected (don't understand but 'internal' then selected and sound was restored)

DVB came up with original RCU - only prob now is wildly fluctuating brightness that doesn't respond to menu adjustments.

Realise I love Profilo, Red phone boxes and J A Balcome (but not so much) - Chris.
