LG 37LH3000 Main Board Needed
« on: November 09, 2011,11:41:18 »
Hope I am posting this in the right place  :sign0144:

I have arrived here following a recommendation from a very helpful person on another forum, and hope that someone may be able to help or point me in the right direction.

I have an LG 37LH3000 which suffered a small amount of water ingress toward the left side (as you look at it from the front) - all would probably have been well if it had been left off, however someone who thought they knew better decided to switch it on without giving any opportunity for it to dry.

I have since dried it out in an outhouse with a boiler which was nice and warm for a couple of weeks, and have subsequently began looking to see if I can repair it.

It was clean water that got into it, and only a relatively small amount.  I can see where it has dribbled down the LVDS cable which has presumably led it onto the main board (cannot see any evidence, but it seems a safe bet).  The panel will come on, illuminate and then cycle through coloured screens, but there is no menus or ability to select inputs etc.  My TV has an AUO panel fitted (I can easily supply the panel model/part no if it is needed).

I ordered a main board online by way of the part number, which arrived, however I note that it has been taken from a 42LH3000, and that the barcode on the side suggests that it has been designed to drive an LG panel.   Given that there is likely to be a difference between the LG panel and the AUO panel, not to mention the size issue, I am reluctant to fit this panel just to knacker it.  I have contacted the vendor to ask the question, however having sold the board, apparently they are no longer interested as I have had no response at all.

So, I am in need of a main board,  part number EAX60686902(2), that is suitable to drive a 37" AUO panel.

Oh, and I have a main board for a 42LH3000 of the same part number that I will be selling (as far as I know it is working, but I have/can not test it).

Any, and all advice or suggestions gratefully received. :)
