When connected to mains, the red light comes on, then one of the following happens:
If just left alone, or the standby button on the TV is pressed, the red light will start to flash on and off after a while.
OR
Pressing Standby on Remote, red light turns green, then flashes green, yellow, green, yellow etc.
OR
Pressing any button on the Remote just makes the red light go off momentarily, but nothing else happens.
There is never anything on screen.
There is a 'tick' that comes from the speakers, that stops after a while (confirmed from speakers by disconnecting them)
Power supply is outputting 12 volts, smoothing caps C12 and C22 looked OK but changed just in case, problem remains unchanged.
Fuse FS1 on inverter is OK.
Disconnecting all DVD connections on mainboard has no effect.
I suspect the main board, but don't want to order a salvaged replacement just yet. Any one got any insight?
