Goodmans LD2655HD Buzzing
« on: June 15, 2012,16:26:09 »
Hi All,

I am new here and I am hoping that someone can help me.

My TV buzzes whenever the volume is on (through the speakers) but when the volume is on 0 it stops.

At a guess I assume this may be something to do with the amplifier but not being a TV repairman I am just having a little guess.

Before I go the expense of taking it to a shop I thought I would ask to see if it is likely to be a costly repair. I am not of the generation to just throw things away and would like to repair instead of replace if possible.

Any ideas on what this may be would be very appreciated.

Thanks

Ash

if you and your location to your prifile there may be someone on the forum local to you that could help

Hello,
I seem to recall the small, audio output panel mounting screws being loose,
were common for this effect, and just tightening them could resolve the problem.

Also, if there is a menu option for power-saving this should be turned off, as
this can cause the backlight inverter to generate noise that gets into the audio stage.

Regards,
John
