Sony RDR-HXD995 - update

Hi folks,
Have one of these in, where after an off-air update recently, the machine is reported to have behaved oddly.

Sony give On-line details of an update to cure a known corruption problem by downloading and burning a CD giving a simple method - Load burned CD - press two buttons and it does the rest.

Tried this myself, and the display indicates 'download' then sulks, like for ever.

As I initially burned with Nero, thought to try again using XP software - still sulks.

Version is still 1.15 - not 1.24 - Perhaps a hard reset might be useful but can see now't in the menu.

Later - discovered that 'Press-Hold'  the S/by button for a few seconds does the reset jobby - need to retune though. Hope a non-corrupted download does any future biz.
