JVC 23D50BK - No signals on re-scan.

Hi folks,
Had one of these oldies in today where set would re-scan DVB but find nothing. Noticed the OSG was flickering a bit so suspected the in-line 24v supply fitted with a Vestel 4 pin plug.

Had a look inside finding a main board that looked rather like a huge Vestel but with no identifying 17MB numbers, but two tuners. Noticed a 4700/6.3 cap in the buck supply area on the LHS that looked suspect, and was.

Only had 'Superior low ESR 2200/16' caps in stock (Wiltsgrove) and as my 4700/16 wouldn't fit and get the back on. Did the job - Confess use 'em on 17PW20 boards too, and not yet a comeback - Chris.

Later - Cust called to say it still didn't go. Called to find now used as computer monitor, and the task bar covered the 'go' button on a flight simulator programme on all zoom options. Shifted the task bar, now yet another hero - daft but.
