Hi John, and thanks,
Will give a try as seems odd that 2 T-cons without AS15 chips could have the same problem.
When I first had a look, where there was sound but no picture, the Blue LED on the T-con flashed then went out, but with the second one, it stayed on all the time giving a solarised picture, and on re-fitting the original got exactly the same result.
Seems the lead could be the problem, even on a set that's never been turned on, just stored for 2 years 'till customer got 'A Round Tuit' - Thanks again - Chris.
Thanks again - Chris.
Later - Was an LVDS lead problem where flat flexi didn't go far enough through the plug housing to make a good contact with T-con socket - Only the very ends had socket imprints. Managed to push the flexi through the plug housing, but difficult as seems to be glued in and the plug housing doesn't seem to come apart - Could have just removed the plug and pushed in the flexi, as a fair bit has exposed contacts, but unsure whether the plug housing does anything useful
