I found the best way was to use a 10 pound lump hammer if customers say it's not worth repairing
This last weekend our ASDA were selling 55 inch full hd for £227

Hi Sparky,

Bet it was a Blaupunkt - Not a bad set 'till the Led backlights go poop and you have a big bit of very thin glass to try not smash on the way out and back again. Had one in, and having just bent a corner of a mere 42, thought not to bother 'till I grow more arms - Chris.

Scrappers come in two forms with me, 'scrappers' and 'save em' for later'.

If they look cheap and don't have a HDMI and VGA socket on they are scrappers if can't be repaired in a moderate amount of time I class them as 'scrappers'.

If they have HDMI and VGA sockets on I class them as 'save em for later'.... and it pays of once in a while, a nice 26" Tesco telly was handed to me, "Use it for spare parts mate", a computer monitor with a telly on my bench flashed across my eye's.

A month or two passed another one came in that had a smashed screen, it had been knocked over by their pet dog. I swapped the main board and now can watch telly and and play computer at the same time....  "Good doggie" I thought.  Oddly, the sound quality sounded better than many of the bigger telly's.
