Sony KDL-S5500 - Reception issue.

Hi folks,

Have one in where some channels seem to have a reception problem. My weakest here are BBC1 and 2 as at the top end of the band but 'Dave' normally comes in a treat - Tacolneston.

Not on this set as BBC 1 and 2 are OK but 'Dave' comes and goes. Checked continuity of the aerial socket as cust managed to spread the centre contact a bit but noted it read zero to deck as expected.

Thought check Ebay for SSBs and found them £60 a pop where the power board is really cheap.

Wonder if it's a known problem ? - Thanks for thoughts  - Chris.

Later - Used FTV box Scart input where the problem remains so suspect Buck supplies on the SSB giving ripple although SMD caps appear OK.
