Had a couple of these recently that ae that badly burnt ther have set the white plastic sheet on fire making it irrepairable,anyone else come across this problem.

Hi Davy,

Guess these are one ones using a plastic backplate as a heat sink. Doesn't seem such a good idea. Met just the one from Ebay that had died from a screen smash - Strips were OK - Chris.

That's not good,not seen it myself,just the odd burnt LED.There seems far too many LED failures for my liking,across all manufacturers.

This is a common problem with LGs. If it is only 1or 2 burnt LEDs . Remove burnt LEDs and replace with 519 diode.

Hi artstv1,

Why not replace duff leds with good leds - Guess only takes little longer and provides light.

Stacks of LG strips on Fleabay to cannibalise for leds.

Sadly seems no TV backlight leds available from China at the moment as they only sell low current stuff that can't take the heat - Chris.
