SAMSUNG LCD 46'' BACK LIGHT PROBLEM

SAMSUNG LCD 46'' MODEL: LE46B620R3W
POWER+INVERTER BOARD: BN44-00265A
WHEN TV TURNS ON THE BACKLIGHT ON FOR FEW SECONDS THEN OFF , BL-ON SIGNAL IS OK, CHECKED PSU VOLTAGES AND ALL OK, IF ANY HAS COME THROUGH THE SAME ISSUE PLZ HELP OR METHOD OF REMOVING PROTECTION FOR THE INVERTER IC LX6503,

A lot of Samsungs are wired so that if you disconnect the main from the PSU and plug the tv into the wall, the backlights will come on and stay on if the PSU, inverter and backlights are operational, otherwise the main board is culpable.

A brief flash of backlights at switch on may indicate that one or more CCFLs are dead, or igniting with a pinkish glow. You'll have to open up the panel to expose the CCFLs to see if this is the case, and observe the lamps when you power on the tv.
