That's not a Toshiba perchance, Shaun? Can only suggest a factory reset, though I don't know. Otherwise you'd have to say main board replacement,
especially if it was caused by the wii.                            Bruce

Ive got one of these. One of the small diodes on one of the strips has burnt out. The strips have a right angled socket and so far I have only seen one person in Holland selling them. Gonna cost about £40 inc post so customer has scrapped it. Strip is SVT470A53. Its probably the same problem as your one. Oh yeah its a Toshiba methinks

Yes,your model number is wrong,if it's an LG & it's a 47LN something, then you can   replace the strips, from e-bay or there's a company called Ohm supplies, they sell the strips,or if your soldering skills are good, the individual led's!There's also a guy selling genuine LG replacement led's & fitting instructions on e-Bay 10 x led's £10,so although time consuming could be worth while.

Hi Sinclairtv,

Out of interest, what sort'a screen in used - Back or edge ? -  While ago Tosh used Vestel chassis with LG backlit screens, easy to sort, but guess this is a thin one with edge Leds.

Hope Toshiba (Appliance of Science) hasn't become a UMC like Blaupunkt and similar crap cheapies where the SSB generally pops a few months before the screen dies - Chris.
