LG 32LD490 - Suspect BGA issue.
Turnip:
Hi folks,
Just had one in where it found no DVB channels, and with Scart input - Sound but no picture. OSG and control perfect.
Popped the SSB in the oven for 7 minutes at 180C using a clip thermometer, with the fan on but the element off. After 7 minutes oven was down to 120C - Success, even the HDMI worked.
Last time I relied on the oven itself at 200C for 10 minutes where several chips fell off - Chris.

and Coke and fries on the side? Bruce

Hi Bruce,
No actually, as the wife was due back and doesn't much like my cooking of anything, as seems menfolk never clean ovens, well, not in the UK.
She did however notice the pile of Black leggy chips after my first go, and was confused as she'd never had the issue in a lifetimes cooking, so suspected it was a curious 'Boy's Night' meal consisting of multi legged insects.
Only mentioned as really happy to get a positive result - Chris.

Hi Chris,
Men don't clean ovens the world over. It's a tiresome dirty job. Do you not place your boards on a baking tray? I screw up 4 bits of Alfoil into rough balls
and sit the board on these in the tray, but hey whatever works for you. Looks like you've found the formula. Bruce

Hi Bruce, Guess so,
Just had a LG 47LD690-ZB in where initially the HDMI didn't, but all else was OK.
Sales chap tried sell it but every time he turned it on, something else was missing and eventually it didn't turn on at all.
Naturally no SSBs on Ebay so cooked it to perfection - Another winner - Thanks - Chris.
