Hi Chris. How do you make sure that the smd resistors and caps don't fall off?
downunder:
Hi lol,
I've always placed the board print side down on a tray with some scrunched up balls of Al. foil under each corner. Cooking for 10 minutes in the oven preheated to 180 degrees, I have never lost any SMDs or had melted plastic in the sockets. After 10 minutes, don't move the tray. Just open the oven door and let it cool down naturally.
Everyone probably has their own method, but this works for me. Sometimes you will have failures too. Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Time you uploaded to One's Tube.
Agree totally but use an internal thermometer and when it hits 180C, cut the cooker element but leave the cooker circulating fan running for 'some' minutes. Open the door and let it cool. Not lost any chips since - Chris.
