Pioneer VSA-7015 - Delayed audio.

Hi folks, got one where it powers up with relays clicking, but no sound at all for about five minutes, then perfect.

Note it has four relays which click in some sequence, but difficult to know which relays have clicked as all close together.

Tried listen but suspect I need a stethoscope, maybe the sort auto mechanics use to suss duff bearings.

Hi Chris,

How are the peepers - don't suppose you mean VSA-701S ! These usually have a reset procedure but I can't find one for this model. Maybe too old (1992) for such sophistication. I can upload the service manual if you wish.

Admit I'm now double plastic in the eye arena - Nifty in some ways, but glare is a killer.

Recall driving somewhere night time with the wife in the rain. I asked where we'd got to, as wasn't too sure as could see the road but not the verges. Got there, no problem. Subsequently don't drive at night.

Similarly with bright sunshine, can't see a thing due to the glare. Guess plastic lenses not quite as good as originals, though gather flexible plastics are available and attach to the focussing muscles giving full depth vision - Doubtful - Chris.

AS a youngster, I can never forget the drive home one night with my dad driving. I reckon he mounted every kerb and traffic island that was there to be mounted. Scared the s#!t out of everybody in the car. Guess his night vision wasn't that hot.

Tend to feel its the output centre voltages sliding about, where eventually OK and the relay clicks in. Had a look on the output panel but see no pots to adjust quiescent things to perfection. Guess wait 'til it goes pouf then sort duff transistors.

Amusingly the amp was to be used over Crimble, where the chap who runs the shop intended to amuse his family singing along to the dancing dots, where he sang for five minutes to total silence.

Admit haven't had the pleasure, as his music isn't quite mine, him being a salesman of considerable repute, where I prefer more reflective stuff whilst replacing current model Sammy Leds by the dozen - Chris.
