Polaroid p50fn0117k

Hi my tv recently went off, on startup the Polaroid logo flashes on screen for a split second then goes off again I’m getting sound I can see the picture with a torch replaced the power board no change any ideas?

if no back light it will be the inverter board or 1 off the back lights has failed. not seen this model so that's about all the info I can offer

Thanks for your help is the t con board nothing to do with either of that?

the fact you see the picture with a torch, means main board and tcon and screen must be working the psu is to a degree but check the power to the inverter board to show psu ok .that just leaves inverter circuit and backlights

i've just fixed 2 of these tvs, if you get a brief flash on screen when you switch it on, then it'll be the backlight, i got caught out, forgot to do a torch test, thought it was backight fault, turned out to be a mainboard fault, cheers
