The unit runs fine for an hour to an hour and a half and then no picture. Backlit off and no visable video. The sound is still there and the on lite is still solid blue. If left alone the picture will reappear after 15 minutes and go off shortly. This will continue. If you shot off tv with remote or unplug and turn on the picture will come on for a short time. Disassembled set and found no visable damage. Sharp was no help at all other than send set to them. It is two years old and out of warrenty.

Iam looking for the SERVICE MANUAL FOR LC-20SH21U. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. JIM14086

Are you sure you have the correct model number?
A common problem with Sharp LCD TV's was the screws that earth the invertor board not earthing properly, try taking them out and clean them with a fibre pen and refit and see if it cures the problem.
There were modified screws available for some models

As well as cleaning we fit an earth cable from inverter to chassis.

Ive had some problems with this Sharp as well. I reccomend the Samsung 46A650, its worked out great for me
