Maxim 1157 PSU fault 04TA069I

I have a Maxim 1157 that died on me... On inspection, pin 8 of IC21 (FSD200) on the PSU board (04TA069I) has vapourised!
Has anyone seen this before? Any 'best way forward' for this fault? Is there a repair kit for this? What is the likely cause? Where should I start checking?
Does anyone have a known accurate schematic diagram? (I have one that is supposed to be the right one but not tried using it yet.)
Does anyone have any service notes/service manual for this model?
Will this PSU run standalone out of the chassis, or do I need to have it connected to the signal board?

Lots of questions I know, but hopefully someone will answer one or two of them...please  :ciao:

hello, we offer a repair service on these units, in fact i posted one back yesterday, and yes,the fsd200 does fail a lot, private e mail if you wish, this psu is also fitted in the technosonic 3251 of which we are main dealers

JUST TO UPDATE THIS FAULT.

I changed just the FSD200 on this PSU, and that didn't fix the fault.

I then had to put the TV to one side for a few months due to other commitments.

Two weeks ago I ordered the repair kit from Ohm. I replaced all the components from the kit, although all the caps and zeners I removed tested okay.

I have a feeling it was either IC30 or Q300 (in addition to IC21) that had died.

The TV now works fine!

So thanks to TV Tony, for his advice, I now have something to watch instead of my 42" Philips plasma that has died too, trying to sum up the effort to fix that next!
