LG 37LC2D - Display Blanking

Display blanks intermittently. dozens of times a night - goes black for 1 second then back on while sound is ok. Also sound is off at power up sometimes for minutes.. pops on sound sometimes also. Sky channel banner half off the screen at the bottom, this corrects itself sometimes in seconds.
Any ideas? Thanks

Hey Ping,
I've been fighting the same problem with the same TV for about a year now. Did you ever find a solution? On mine the PS is definatley over heating. I swapped my PS assembly for a used one with Interactive Repair via ShopJimmy.com. It worked for a while and then the same problem returned. I've been trying to get in touch with them for a couple of months now with no luck. If any one else knows how to contact them or what happened to them, please let everyone know.

this may help others
lg lcd and sony types
intermitent blank of sreen makesure video side is set to relevant country out of box it sets as auto
but can think its something else and blanks screen for few secs while it checks signal, had several
with this problem all cured by resetting video to pal in uk

cure as above message reset up video section from auto to relevant country ie  uk pal,us to ntsc
europe east pal
