logik LCXW37HD1
« on: July 21, 2009,20:21:30 »
could someone please tell me voltage of zener D14 in p/s . power supply is a AMOI 2004-02 VER 1.0 the makings on it can not be seen because of a blowout in p/s . when i get it going i will post an  error on the circuit board that will have you going round in circles to do with opto U4 if you don,t have a circuit which i don,t but drew most of my own on last one i repaired , this p/s can be repaired out of set on bench with dummy load, poss without but not tried that yet. many thanks dave eng.

:unsure:hi tv tony just seen your reply , have been working away for a week or so, 6.8 volt ? very confusing is this diode will  explain have not got access to my info just now . There is a kit for this p/s available from Ohm supplies liverpool uk ,and i got the kit and did  some tests on this diode D14 and it is very strange, also no info on diode on net but one thing for certain it is not a 6.8v anyway will explain further when i get my info poss wed/ thurs 5/6 aug ,thanks anyway but it does look at this stage you have to buy a kit £20+vat/p/p for the sake of a special diode all other parts easy to obtain, anyway will post info i have and who knows somebody might have some more information. kind regards dave

hI tony and the forum this is the info i have on the logik p/s type as above in my first post, the diode D14 type f 229B  fairchild make? is a special type as i said no data on any datasheet sites . I have done out of circuit tests with a zener tester that gives me the actual voltage this diode reads 2.23v, a diode test on a digital meter gives me .701 then reverse probes then 1.862.  in circuit working perfect, across the diode is 3V1, confused so am i, so what is it? a voltage reference diode? a zener so now tony you can see how i said it could not be a 6.8v did you possibly read it off ground always test a zener across for accuracy. Now for the last bit on the opto , when you buy a kit of parts you take everything of the pcb then fit the kit like i do , switch on and the set can be a write off WHY? because pin 1of the opto U4 on the board is on the opposite side to the line on the chip this then puts hi volts on to low volt lines blowing other pcbs beyond econonmical repairs SO BEWARE. and finally you can repair this board as standalone out of set on the bench various o/p are there at power on ie 5vsby 5vs to get all o/ps ground the anode of the diode next to relay ,i use the  ground  one nearby on the 24v skt there is no need to dummy load unless you are doing load testing ,this is the first of these logik p/s i have had , i have found a lot of the plasma and lcd smps can be tested and repaired as standalone on the bench , some times you have to alter logic from micro, and dummy load but so much easier on the bench. if anybody has a component level circuit please tell me what D14 is ? kind regards dave

Hi Dave,

Am curious as this set seems to have two different power supplies - Profilo Telra or AMOI. Any chance of flashing up a pic of your PS to add to my collection.

   Thanks - Chris.

hi chris , no i have not come across any other p/s  of this type/ model , but what i do when i come across Any electronic systems  i do not know, i back engineer ie  take measerments of V/I/R and this will detect many faults ,many engineers/ techs  repair equipment and  say right it.s working thats was a pain to sort out , get it off the bench , BUT what about the next one  of the of the same system ? you say OH what did i do last time ?,so you spend time thinking and go round in circles ,OH yes we have all come across this senerio.SO take note of the the systems you are working on  and you will find life and work will be much less pressure . hi Veromade sorry  i do go on a bit to tech , i am a electronic systems engineer of 40+ years thats workd/ repaired on all electronic systems. kind regards dave

hi sorry chris i was doing 2 things at once and missed you asking for a picture of logik p/s sorry, set went back over a week ago but you can go on OHMS SUPPLIES that do the kits, kit No is kit04 click on the kit and then you see a small picture of the p/s click on and it will give you a large picture of the power supplie this kit is for the 32/37" anybody who does not what to do it themselves can send it to OHMS SUPPLIES  and they will do it for £50+vat/p/p . Ohms supplies liverpool is a very good website they do lots of kits for LCD/PLASMA P/S and xyz sustain, they do the 12/15nf 630v caps in p/s that go low capacity in the VESTEL p/s thats used in lot of makes of LCD only £1 each they are very hard to obtain .regards dave
