Vistron VIS026 Backlight out

Hi all

I have  Vistron VIS026 that i am trying to repair, when switched on from standby the backlight stays on for a approx 1 second, then goes out, the standby light stays green. This happens everytime i switch off then on.

Any ideas ??  :unsure:

Backlight inverter PCB is detecting a fault and shutting down. Could be the PCB is separated into individual circuits feeding X number of lamps, and one is not working (maybe due to fuse blown), could be ballast cap faulty (near to lamp connector sockets). Could be one of the lamp connectors not connected properly, or one of the HV transformer has cooked windings. And other things. First step is to remove the inverter board and inspect it.

Could also be one or more of the ccfl tubes filament faulty. Glows red at end when faulty. Damps the inverter giving rise to tripping the psu into safe mode.
