Dual DVRW5002 dvd/vcr combi

Hi folks, I require a service manual for this can't get pics from vcr, sound ok. DVD plays fine. No pics from tuner, just digital? noise. The unit says made in UK, does anyone know who made it or an equivalent model. Norman

hi norman dual is one of the supermarket wonders no backup once the guarantee is up, but you say no playback picture does it play a prerecorded tape that is one that was NOT recorded on that vcr ,if so then it is not a playback fault but what is called no E-to- E ,therefor you check the tuner and IF circuit, can you do a recording from your dvd this does not require tuner and IFs if so your fault is in the tuner/IFs you can test these circuits without a diagram , if you need to know how to test please post and i will tell you . kind regards dave

Hi Dave, This machine wont play prerecorded tapes, it looks noisey on the tuner (it may need tuned) I don't have the remote. Unfortunately this being a budget machine and knowing the customer this is beyond economical repair. My junk pile is growing by the day.  Norman
