Mac0001UK:
I have 1 of the above televisions. It suddenly decided to show no picture from any input. It has been in for repair here locally and a fault has been identified. This was on the Inverter Board and concerned a Tx. marked 6024B709005 (GP) -03. The technician has removed this part but was unable to source a replacement. Does anyone know where I can obtain one please.
Cheers,
Mac
Below are Top & Bottom views of the offending item, pardon the hair.
theo laird:
The transformer looks open circuit. The break seems to be the bottom left clearly seen between the winding and the edge connector. Careful cleaning and soldering a bridging wire will cure it.
Mac0001UK:
Thanks for that Theo,
I got all excited and thought "I can do that", but twas not to be. It looks like it due to my poor photography, lighting etc., but on closer examination with a strong magnifier it seems that the wire does actually continue into a gel-filled cavity, presumable connected within.
Cheers,
Mac
sparky:
hi
have you measured the windings with meter to check the
readings (ohms)
Mac0001UK:
Hi Sparky,
I haven't mainly because I would have no idea which pins to measure across. If you have any clues on that I would be most grateful to receive them.
To be quite honest I have no idea what this component actually is. To me it looks like a SOIC plugged into the top of some sort of winding assembly but I am probably very wrong.
Anyway, any help would be most gratefully received.
Cheers,
Mac
Hi Sparky Again,
I have now put a meter across the pins. All show as open-circuit except between 2 & 3 which are virtual s/c. I can physically see the wires from each end of the centre windings terminating there so that makes sense. Where the other windings actually terminate is anyones guess. I still have to consider that it is the component on top of the windings at fault.
Cheers,
Mac
