LG 26LX2R. STUCK IN STANDBY.
« on: October 20, 2009,10:31:13 »
Hi. Have in for repair a LG 26LX2R. The tv just shows the red standy led, it will not switch on using the remote or local buttons. Have established that the power supply is ok by forcing it on. All the voltages are present and correct. Changed electrolytics c214,c221 and c222, 1000uf, as they read reduced cap and esr, but with no results. Strange thing is when brought in for repair the mains fuse was blown on the power supply board. It seems as if the micro IC800 is locked up for some reason. IC800 crystal x800 is osillating correctly.

      Thanks, phil.

Hi Phil,

Note that some LG power supplies aren't actual LG manufacture, but from our Chinese brothers, how about a picture and maker to compare ?

HI CHRIS.
I am aware that the p.s.u board is not manufactured by LG. It`s a yuyang telecom co.ltd.
Number YP2632T 05.O2.16 REV .A2.,but as i said i dont realy think the fault is on this board as if i connect the standby switching line on the p.s.u to the 5v standby line all the voltages come up. Also the inverter powers up, illuminating the screen.
