Hi Folks,

  Have one of these in where the PS has popped (17PW16-2) around the PFC area, blowing the top off the PFC drive chip. Anyone with a shematic ?

this is the closest one ive got a 17pw20,there not the same but ther are some similarities.

Hi, and many thanks Daz,

   Was just about to reply that 'Ohm Supplies', and 'Wiltsgrove' do repair kits - so probably it must be well known failure. Wilts being a fiver cheaper - as ever. 'Wiltsgrove' now show low ESR caps useful for Profilos - they don't actually show any stock yet, but the thought is good.

Hi Folks,

  Kit in and fitted, notice 'Wilts' kit seems to be for both PFC and S/by faults. Note that an FSD321 is provided and guess it can pop it's top like FSD200 and 210's.

  In my case, discovered that the main cap 220/450 was totally O/C - though it looked OK. No-one seems to have any stock apart from Farnell/CPC
