Panasonic TU-CT20 security code ?
« on: October 23, 2009,11:16:38 »
Hi Folks,

After the last FTV update, went to retune said box - all well until it required a security code. Customer naturally hadn't recorded code originally entered in the space provided in the guide - any clues as to a default, as it gets tedious trying, after an hour or three.

Realise FTV boxes are cheap as chips for city folks, but in Norfolk - quite another story.

  Ever hopeful - Chris.

Hi and thanks Sparky,

Went and tried those - no dice, but customer is retired with time on his hands and intends to go through all 9999 +1 options.

   Thanks again - Chris.

Hi Sparky,

  Wot and pay money ?

Decent manufacturers have web sites that offer such information FOC. Spent a time on line - Panasonic didn't recognise the model, but were awful keen to sell new stuff.

   Grrr - Chris.

PS  - Suggested when his fingers locked up he should buy a Philips - don't like Philips either since the K30, but folks around feel that their FTV boxes work well with our weak signals.

Hi Chris
Used to have one of these. Think the initial pin code was '0000'. Might be worth a try.
Regards
John

Hi, and thanks, John and Sparky,

My ancient cust has now got up to 2300 and I dare not tell him that free advice is available, but will remember for the next time.

Well, he paid me well for trying - no heart - Chris.
