Hi Guy's,I've got one of the above l.c.d's which is dead ish! there is no standby light .If you check the voltages on the p.s.u. I've got 5volt stby & 33volt line that comes up & then goes down very slowly tuner I think. No 12-24volt to inverter !I think I've checked all the fuses I could find 3on p.s.u. 3on signal
p.c.b. 3 on inverter.I printed off s.man from site but am going round in circles.

I know im stating the obvious but you have checked the set isn’t just switched off,on some sonys
the power button on the top off the set turns the standby light on/off and then the power button on the remote brings it out of stand by, I will admit to being court out by this many moons ago(just the once mind you)
Stating the obvious

Hi Guy's,No I know about that little catch, been there myself. The fault is on the main signal p.c.b.I've been told by a Sony service engineer that it's a not so common problem. They just replace the p.c.b.But at nearly £200 not really an option.Iam old school & like to fix thing's where poss.
thanks anyway. Maff.
