Acoustic Solutions LCD32762HDF DEAD !!
« on: February 16, 2010,19:54:53 »
Hi, I have another like the TV listed above . The problem is that the TV does not turn on at all, the blue  standby indicator doesn't switch on and it doesn't bare any sign of life. From what I have found the problem lies with the main board as I have tested the power supply board with another TV and it works fine. This means that the main board needs repairing or replacing which is understandable and can be fixed somehow assuming you know the problem  :wallbash:.

FYI:- Board Info: 17mb12-2

I've inspected the board and none of the the capacitors appear to be bulging or at fault but looks can be decieving  :dubbio:. Can anyone help shed some light on the problem ? As before my soldering skills are fine and I have basic tools i.e a standard digital/analogue multimeter, soldering iron etc.

I have also tested the switch and buttons mechanism incase they were at fault but all indications point to the main board ! I will try to inspect and test more tomorrow to help narrow the field of fault.

I did fear this may be a problem with the software rather than the hardware as I have seen before that the EEPROM causes such issues  :lamo:, however this was recanted when I tested using my other working TV's EEPROM chip (which was identical, tv model board model etc) and still got no sign of life. Therefore it must be a problem with the board !!

NB: I've attached a pic of the main board (17mb12-2)

Thanks in advance   :ciao:

Hi Dansford, discon inverter lead to see if standby lights . If LT voltages are pulsing, then main pcb is probably duff just like the 17MB22.2 version.

Thanks John, tried that and other cables. No sign of life at all so I can confirm officially dead  :wallbash:.

Annoying but I'll probably have to get hold of another Main Board.
