hi all the saga continues  :wallbash:
samsung 40 LR40R88bd changed caps reset eprom tv works turn off turn on next morning and yes we are back to clicking and will not switch on strip it down short eprom and it will work ok untill you switch off the power then we are back to square one ?
does this mean the eprom is shot! can i get a eprom chip or do i have to get a new board if so where from ?
any help would be really good

fit a new eprom chip it sets its self
try charles hyde or Rs components

hi guys thanks for the info did as you said got a new eprom from charles hyde fitted it today still the same any ideals where i might get a new board tv model number is LE40R87BDX/XEU board number is BN94-01472m any help really would be good

Hi,
I have never had one of these where the caps and eprom didn't cure the fault. You can get the boards from CHS (they will be cheaper if you have a trade account) or cheaper still if you know someone with a Samsung acount. I wouldnt use the part numbers stamped on the boards (you can't rely on them) use the make and model search make sure you use the full model number i.e. the bit at the end ending xeu.

Which board are you going for though? Power supply? It gets expensive if you choose the wrong board!
