Wharfedale L22T11W-A
« on: March 18, 2010,12:34:50 »
Hi folks,
Have one of these where P/S, having just one 12v output fed through F1 (3A). This fuse is not just O/C but cremated.

Note that TV consumption is rated at 70W, and with a P/S efficiency of 90% or so, it would seem that a fuse rated 5A might just be more the biz.

Note there is a previous thread noting the trouble, admitting that although the set worked OK after replacement, fuse ran rather hot.

Suspect a 6" nail solution in the air - Chris.

Hi John and thanks for that,

Know you have a thing with Wickman fuses and there's certainly plenty of space for one.

Another matter, as mine came from a local tip - anyone know where I can get a replacement RCU ?
None of our usual suppliers even recognise the set. A RM2305 nearly works, but there's no functioning OK to initiate the FTV tuning or menu functions.

Chris.

Hi, thanks a lot,

RCU £12.50 inc Vat and postage - not bad - Chris.

P.S.    Remote supplied was a RM3015A and did the job.

Hi Chris, I bought a kit of about 170 Wickman fuses from WillowVale about 15 years ago . I'm
determined to use them, so don't dis. my Wickman fuses ,I will use them with pride and use them
where ever possible.
Got to laugh at something in this trade.

John

PS  I was advised to replace 24,220/25v.

Hi All,
I have had 2 of these sets in with the same fault.
I have measured the current and found it draws 2.7A.
I fit a wickman 3.13A.
C24 220uf 25v needs replacing too.
