Panasonic 50px60u vertical black bar halfway down screen

I have a panasonic 50 inch plasma that has a black bar slightly to the left of the center and goes from the top of the screen to the center. Its a TH-50PX60U, any help or direction would be great, thanks!!!

Hi,

Im afraid you probably have a faulty screen, you could try cleaning the ribbons but I doubt that will be your problem, and there are usually some liitle SMD resistors that can fail on the C1 or C2 boards(usually about 18 ohms) but if one of those have failed then im afraid its usually caused by a defective screen.

you need to take the back of the tv and and where the black line is on the screen you will see a rippon
you need to unplug the rippon you will see 2 resistors resoilder them and the black line will have gone
