My problem is that i have a JVC LT-32DR9BJ when plugged in blue LED iluminates then clicks and back light comes on then for split second blue screen shows then goes back to standby and stays there
If I press power buton it will switch of and then back on but does the same cycle again is this a simple fix or shall i just give up and buy a new tv
Any advice would be appreciated

it sounds like the power supply had got some blown/leaking caps you will need to undo all the screw and take the back off then look for the board that has the mains wire pluged into it ,take all the connectors off that board( they will just pull off) the mains one may have a locking lug to press first, take the screws out holding the power supply in place, once out you may need to remove some heat sheilding to see which caps have gone, you will know whick ones have gone by the tops bulging they should be flat.

make a note of the value's eg: 1000uf 10v or 470uf 16, whatever the voltage is you can go up a step from say 10v to 16v and from 16 to 25v but the value must remain the same eg 1000uf .
then you need a bit of soldering skill make sure they go back in the correct way they have a stripe on one side to determin the negative.
put it all back together and you should be up and running again , unless the power supply has eeprom

Thank you  for taking time to get back to me
I think you are right in fact that tv powers up and goes to blue screen for split second
I have done wha you said and removed board all caps look fine except for large one in centre (450v 330uf)
that has a very slight bevel in it, this can hardly be seen this but if put straight edge on top one side is slightly raised
Is there a way of testing this with a Ohm Meter possibley to be sure, and board does have an  :clap:epprom

this sounds like its the smoothing cap your looking at  any doming at all on a cap is not good make sure you have removed all the heatsink covers so you can see all the caps and if the one you have found is the only one then I would replace it but up the voltage, this wont effect the power supply  but will make the replacment less likely to go again.if  it doesnt work after that then, the next stage is the mainboard.
I have been check on thses caps and they qiute expesive in comparison to some others and are more comanly used is amps
