ok chap's got this samsung tv come in model number LE26R73BD at switch on the screen pops up then off again  i've tested the inverter board with an inverter board tester, it tested ok also change some of the capacitor in the power supply my guess is the inverter board breaking down under load any idears would be great thanks for your time

sorry chap i'll rephrase. it's a ccfl lamp tester here is a picture . does  it sound like an inverter board problem

Hi,

Guessed that -  suspect invertor the problem - sometimes dries on drive chips/transformers or transformer problems - how's about a piccy ? - Chris
