Hi,

Have a note suggesting checking 12v P/S supply - suspect short on mainboard - Chris.

Did you fix this ?
I would appear to have exactly the same fault.  plug in - led briefly flashes green then goes red.
remote input seems to not work, but can't really prove that.
push power button on set, red led goes off but does not turn to green.

I've checked voltages all over the set and everything seems fine - and i checked the caps the last poster mentioned, both within tolerance.

anyone with any ideas appreciated.

(yes the psu board is a PLCD 190 C1 and all seems well there. i've measured all diodes and caps and switching devices)

the photo higher up the thread is the same as mine.

i don't believe it to be the psu board, as i said i have scoped all the supplies & they look good. i have scoped all the 'little' supplies generated by the SSB and Zapper boards and they also appear good. the closest i can find to something wrong is the top left corner of an a to d chip in the middle of the ssb board gets up to about 45 deg C (ish) when the rest of the board is a fairly uniform just above ambient (measured with contactless IR temp sensor)
