17PW20-1 PSU
« on: May 03, 2010,09:41:12 »
Hitachi L32H01U isn't completing power-up (shuts-down/resets when backlight comes on) so today I've ordered a KIT09.

I've been sat, now, for the best part of an hour looking at the board and the schematic ('though I've only got one for the 17PW20-0) and I can't locate Q809 for the life of me.   :wallbash: I've looked on both sides of the board.  Please can someone help me before i explode  :bomb:

Thanks.

Hi Sparky,

Am I looking at the same site as you?  The KT09 data sheet I see there only provides a list of component references with schematic ID and component value/part number.  This list is the only reason I know there is a Q809.  It's supposed to be a BC337 but I can't see that on the schematic or board either  :dubbio:

Sorry - I'm not making myself clear.

I know what parts are in the kit but in the case of Q809/BC337 I can't find it on the PCB to be able to replace it.  I can't even find it on the circuit diagram, so no clues there.  I suspect the 2 15nF caps will fix the problem but since I'm paying for a full kit I thought I may as well replace the lot while I'm at it.

Cheers  :brinda:,

Ahaa... Now I get ya
Those two little letters 'o' and 'r' make a lot of difference when you actually read them.

Thanks.

Anyone want to buy a spare BC337 ?
