Wharfedale LCD1510A
« on: May 05, 2010,06:42:43 »
Hi all.

I'm a relative newcomer to the world of TV repair, so please bear with me if my queries are "same old stuff"!

I'm currently stuck on a Wharfedale LCD1510A which operates OK except that there is no response from the panel buttons on the TV, and the "Menu" button on the remote doesn't work. The mainboard is a Vestel 17MB18-5. The buffer IC between the buttons and processor is OK, which leads me to believe the EEPROM may be corrupt.

Can anyone help, possibly provide a data dump for the 24C32??

Thanks in advance
Colin

Hi Mulja

Thanks for that thought. I had previously tried getting into service mode, which failed, but tried your suggestion anyway. No joy I'm afraid. The thing just doesn't want to know about the "Menu" button at all, be it on the remote or the TV's button panel.

I'm stuck!  :wallbash: It's probably some incredibly simple fix - if only I knew - but it's looking like it'll end up as a source of spares!
