OK CHAP'S GOT THIS TV IN IT'S HITACHI CRT  MODEL NUMBER C28WF54ON 11AK33J4 CHASSIS. THE OUTPUT TRANSISTOR AS GONE BU2508AF . THE QUESTION I'M ASKING CAN I USE BU2525AF AS THIS THE ONLY THINK THATS AROUND ME AT THE MINUTE THANKS

Guess you've mended it by now, as alternative transistor seems suitable. Thought to attach my file for interest - Chris.

 thanks chris for the info i put that bu2525af in.the set tried to start up but died again there was puff of smoke came from the flyback transformer

Hi Shaun,

Threw out all me flyback trannies last spring when Profilo seemed to promise a lasting flat screen pension.

Well, I've since made better decisions since folks have dumped them all.

Vestel is us - currently, but soon in the EU ? - Chris.
