can someone help please tv has a faint tripping and blue led is flashing,when i disconect tuner board,or supply to audio board tv powers up and works fine when i replug leads back in,and works a treat,turn the set off and tv wont start up again

sounds like the psu, which ver have you got ?
if its a 17pw15-8 psu these give lots of problems, try c878 + c877 first

thanks for that,yes you are right it is that board,i should have said have tryd the caps 15n 400v but fault remains have heated the psu in the hope a cap was down,but fault remains,bit stumped on this one any other help would be great and thanks in advance

the next thing i would try is the main smoothing block, they seem to be failing more often as the sets get older, but if not these power supplys are pain in the arse, search this web site there are lots of posts , i have posted quite a few solutions, you could also try q818 + q837 as the smd transistors also give int problems, but my advice would be suspect everything, spend a day on it , then if no joy , buy a new one, there not expencive.

thanks for that,have previous tryd the smoothing block,but no change not tryd the smt so will try that nexe just like to say thank you v much for the help,will let you know how i get on
