BUSH IDLCD32TV16HD
« on: July 22, 2010,09:48:01 »
Having trouble with this set. When warm the pic and sound cut out leaving a blank backlit screen, this may only last a second or two then comes back on. Have resoldered large chip with heatsink on main signals PCB, still no luck.

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,

Don't have this one listed yet, perhaps screen size missing in model number - who made it  ? or perhaps a piccy. Have a feeling that '32' is missing, if so some of us also have probs in the combo PS/Invertor area perhaps, causing pic and sound to cut after a short while - Chris.

Sorry Chris, what a plonker! IDLCD32TV16HD is the correct no. When fault shows backlights and screen still lit. When the pic and sound comes back through the AV/EXT logo appears first in the right hand corner as if it has had a loss of signal. :dubbio:

hi
when in fault condition try spraying freezer on to the heat sink
if the fault disappears it might be the big ic causing the fault

Thanks for help guys, unfortunately the fault does not hang around long enough for a temperature test and doesn't respond to heat or freezer treatment. Will soldier on.

Thanks, Dave

Hi folks,

Don't suppose anyone has one of these kicking about - would like to try another Main board
Just to see if it cures my 'Cuts out after a few mins' problem, where I doubt PS/Invertor being faulty.

Chris.

Chris, if this turns out to be a no go I may be able to lend you the signals PCB. Won't know the outcome til later next week.

Hi Dave,

You too could be a hero - like what most of us is, although our TV Tony is shortly to become a god of some sort, possibly his bones have been discovered on that other site.

Shucks, and me a Humanist with no LG connexions, would be keen to try that panel - Chris.

Chris, sorry didn't mean to seem to be dangling the board in front of you like a French Call girl touting for business, will strip it out on Monday for you to try. Send your postal address to my e-mail address.

Hi Dave,

Well it's OK, haven't been to France since '87 and the Paris ring road were wicked, me in me Mini traveller, trailer, bicycles, kids and tents, heading for the south - bit like 'Nuts in May' perhaps.

Had this set kicking around for a while and always wanted to find the answer.

Douglas Adams suggested 42 - possibly the biz for most things but.

Address supplied - thanks - Chris.

PS - have pics of the Dordogne from '87 - perhaps another time.

Hi and thanks Dave,

Never thought, but could have sent you my main board as our faults are quite different, but will hang about 'till your panel arrives and does the biz, then off to Greece with the cash to spend those sunset minutes, but briefly.

Will check back with any success, or not  - Chris.

P.S. -  For interest - my Invertor cut before Dave's fault occurred so now am sure my PS/Inv is faulty.
